Community, Connection, and Giving Back
B.R.O.S & Family Sunday Funday was a community-centered event created to bring families together for a day of fun, fellowship, and purpose. Hosted at Eisenhower Park, the event welcomed youth, parents, and community supporters to enjoy games, food, and time together — all while supporting students in need.
At BROS, we believe community engagement is essential to youth development. Events like Sunday Funday allow families to connect with one another while reinforcing the values of service, generosity, and shared responsibility.
What the Event Was About
Sunday Funday was intentionally designed as a relaxed, family-friendly gathering where attendees could enjoy the outdoors while contributing to a meaningful cause. Community members were encouraged to bring a school supply item to donate, helping ensure students had the tools they needed to start the school year prepared.
For those unable to attend in person, the option to donate supplies or support the cause remotely was also made available — reinforcing that everyone has a role to play in supporting student success.
Why This Event Matters
At BROS, literacy and academic confidence extend beyond the classroom. Access to basic school supplies plays a critical role in a student’s ability to learn, participate, and feel confident in school environments.
By hosting events like B.R.O.S & Family Sunday Funday, we continue to model leadership, community involvement, and compassion for the young men we serve. These experiences show our participants the importance of giving back and being active contributors to their community.
Sunday Funday was not just a day of fun — it was a reminder that when families and organizations come together, we can help every student start the school year ready to learn.
